St. Jude Heroes are runners who raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital while training for their race. They’re part of a nationwide alliance against childhood cancer.

Rob Grant is a local St. Jude Hero, and a patron and adorer at Our Lady’s Chapel, in downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts, home of Radio CorMariae. Since 2010, Rob has run two marathons a year and raised thousands of dollars for St. Jude kids and their families.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is “to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.”  Since opening in 1962, the hospital’s groundbreaking research has helped push the survival rate for childhood cancer from less than 20% to more than 80% today.

The hospital’s policy of charity means that no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. In fact, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

How is this possible? It’s possible through all the wonderful people who donate.

Won’t you help find a cure and save kids from cancer by supporting local St. Jude Hero, Rob Grant?

To donate, please go to Rob’s St. Jude Heroes page, and please be generous.

“Don’t measure your generosity by how much you give, but by how much you have left.”

Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen
