December 12 – Appeal to Heaven

The spiritual battle of our lifetime
Ave Maria!
We’re in the midst of the spiritual battle of our lifetime, maybe of all time. After so much insanity with the Covid-19 pandemic response, now the future of democracy in America seems to be in question. The current electoral process is mired in contestation, confusion, and apparent corruption. If 2020 is coming to a close in this way, what may be on the horizon in 2021?
I want to share with you a good work to which we can all contribute, for the sake of our nation, our Church, and our world. It’s called “Project Nineveh,” and people all over the world will participate in groups and at home, in family, with friends, and individually, on December 12, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Listen to oranganizer Ted Flynn’s appeal:
Some considerations
Whatever you believe about the origin of Covid-19, its appearance on the global scene has given occasion to an attempt to “reset” our civilization. Without Christ, however, there can be no reset to a Christian civilization. Christians should be asking what the designers of the “new normal” are really after. Personally, I haven’t heard any of the “great reset” proponents mention the need for Jesus. In fact, the “new normal” seems to include restriction of liberties, including the freedom to worship.
When Church operation is strictly limited, considered a “non-essential” service, while liquor stores are not subject to similar restrictions, one gets a sense of the ideological bent of the “new normal” plan.
Rather than a “reset” to a purely secular culture of religious indifferentism, what is needed is a strong return to God. At this point, failing an appeal to Divine Providence, I think mankind can only complete its self-destruction, with the expert help, of course, of the technocratic elite, who think they know better than the rest of us just how the world needs to change.
Battle is on, December 12: Christians under the mantle of Maria!
Please consider joining the spiritual battle tomorrow, December 12, on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, through the effort organized by Project Nineveh. It doesn’t require a great deal of effort, just an hour’s quiet prayer, the sacrifice of some comfort, and some fasting. A one-day, nationwide appeal to God through the Blessed Mother, for divine assistance in our nation’s and world’s hour of need.
Let’s show God our hope and trust in His help, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Please check out the Project Nineveh web site for more details about this easy spiritual contribution that almost anyone can make.
Ad Cordis Immaculati triumphum omnes uniti.
