What is the truth about the COVID-19 pandemic narrative?

There are so many angles from which to approach the question, it’s hard to know where to begin. For now, I’m limiting this blog post to one page, with the immediate purpose of publishing the embedded video featuring two important speeches that I presume most Americans have not seen, but should. We have to start somewhere.

Defeat the Mandates, DC

These eye-opening, logic-packed commentaries on the state of America’s COVID-19 response were part of “Defeat the Mandates, D. C.”, an event that took place in the nation’s capital several weeks ago. I and several other contributors to Catholic Citizenship had gone to Washington for the March for Life on January 21, 2022. We stayed a couple extra days to attend this medical-truth-and-freedom event. We heard these talks in person, and were energized by them. The crowd of roughly 35,000 that had come out on a cold Sunday responded enthusiastically.

The speeches shed light on the relationship between lack of truth in matters of public health and the threat to our American way of life, a threat to the future we are setting our children up to inherit. The push to mandate vaccines presents a big problem: doing so could very well hasten the demise of America as a free nation with a Constitutional government. The problem is really that broad. It is also as narrow as the concern for saving one’s own skin.

I hope “Defeat the Mandates, DC” will help fuel a larger medical-rights-and-anti-censorship movement. That hope is not as far-fetched or melodramatic as it may sound. Several speakers pointed out the event was taking place right on the spot where Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his famous “I have a dream” speech articulating the hopes of the civil rights movement.

The Larger Crisis: Truth and Freedom Under Attack

As in the 1960s, when social tensions reached a fever pitch over the question of civil rights for all Americans regardless of race, America is again facing a crisis. Today, one right that is being violated is the right to medical autonomy, to choose what enters one’s body and whether one wants to participate in a medical experiment or not. The right to accurate information about medical options is another. With corporate media, Big Tech, and arguably our own government interfering with the free flow of medical and scientific information, many have opted for potentially dangerous experimental vaccines out of ignorance that safe options have proven effective both abroad and here in the United States. Not only are potentially life-saving information and treatments withheld, people are being coerced into taking the experimental treatments under threat of losing their jobs, their health coverage, or suffering other punitive consequences.

The crisis we face goes far beyond a matter of physical health: it is a Constitutional crisis. Democracy is in danger on many fronts, undermined by medical tyranny, violations of religious freedom, election fraud, censorship, and subversive educational curricula, to name some of the threats. The alarming scenario in America is part of a global crisis which some authoritarian technocrats (and perhaps would-be socialist totalitarians) are promoting as the “Great Reset.”

“If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciple, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (Jn 8:31-32)

Only through dogged pursuit of TRUTH will we find our way out of the present “pandemic,” which is both biological and informational in character.

In the interest of getting this blog article and video posted (it’s already two weeks late), I’ve had to greatly diminish the scope of what I originally hoped to say. The article I had envisioned was going to be titled: “The Great Apostasy, the Great Reset, and the ‘secret forces of lawlessness’”, and would have looked into the significant convergence of events that must be considered together in order to begin to grasp what is happening at this critical moment in history. Parenthetically, I was also going to explain how Catholic Citizenship was derailed and sidelined for the past 24 months, and why we are now attempting to resume production, but that will have to wait.

I hope, for now, that the value of the embedded video, even as it is all out of context, will justify Catholic Citizenship’s abrupt re-activation, and whet readers’ appetites for more COVID narrative/counternarrative exploration.
